Information
Name: Genevieve Hudson
Age: 27 (as of 2.2.14)
Residence: Above Café Szczęście in Southtown; Los Angeles prior to the Box
♪ Typically, Gen has a calm and kind demeanour. She doesn't like to be sad, or to see others around her sad or hurt, so she'll go out of her way to do what she can to help. In the case that she's sad or upset about something, she tries to contain it until she's alone. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body; her idea of being mean to someone is intentionally fixing their coffee wrong or something.
♪ Within the Box, she's closest to Jesse and Andrew. Jesse's like the kid brother she never had, and Andrew... she may or may not have been making googoo eyes at him while he wasn't looking for the past two years, and not just because he literally saved her life.
♪ She was working on earning her master's degree in social welfare before arriving on Southtown Beach in summer 2010. Cooking and the like was only a hobby up to that point. Now she does it all the time so other people don't have to.
♪ Weather permitting, she enjoys spending time at the beach. Yes, Jesse, this place is a hellhole, but everyone deserves moments of Nice Things. If she has a hobby, it's gardening, though that's arguably an essential. She has a small patch on the rooftop of her building so she can't get attacked by a mountain lion again and almost die.
♪ Said rooftop is fabulous, and since she naturally wakes early, she takes her breakfast up there to enjoy the sunrise. Assuming there's food and, yanno. Temperatures that aren't ridiculously cold.
♪ Her family was well off, and in being an only child, she benefited from that greatly. She attended one of the best prep schools on the west coast and all the private violin sessions. She has some real horror stories about the former, though.
♪ Szczęście is Polish for 'happiness.' It's one of Gen's favourite words.
♪ She's trilingual; Gen grew up speaking predominantly Polish and Spanish as a child due to circumstances and didn't develop a decent grasp of English until she started school. Her Polish is rusty, since she hasn't regularly conversed in it since she was thirteen, but her grasp of Spanish is still decent.

Café Szczęście/Housing
Café Szczęście is on the Southtown Boardwalk, not far from the hotel. It's divided into three main rooms: the front room, filled with tables, chairs, and a bar; the kitchen; a bathroom. The kitchen has two rooms behind it: a walk-in freezer and another room for dry goods and other important supplies.
Hours of operation are Monday through Saturday, 06:00 - 18:00. The menu varies depending upon availability, but typically includes coffee, tea, and baked goods. Actual entrées and sandwiches are made to order. Again, assuming she has the supplies to do it.
There's an additional door in the front room that opens to a hallway and staircase. This hallway can also be accessed directly from the Boardwalk, but it is almost always locked. At the top of the stairs is the door to Genevieve's apartment. This door is often unlocked, but it's still a good idea to knock. The apartment has two reasonable-sized bedrooms, a combined living/dining room, kitchen, a full bathroom, utility room, and amble storage space.
All rooms in both the café and apartment are vibrantly decorated.
